Back to School

As the hazy days of our so called Summer fade softly behind us….and the childhood mystical days of bike rides…water fights in the streets and den building become a child’s distant memory …….All our thoughts turn to the event that strikes horror and delight in equal measure into the hearts of parents everywhere…..the bedlam that IS the first day “back to school”

Snatched from the slumber of summer…houses everywhere wake up to the realisation that D day has arrived and panic ensues…..teeth are cleaned…..Hair brushed…..New shoes buffed …….shirts pressed…..blazers rescued from their summer hiding places…lunches made….ties tied….bags packed…. the mad rush through the traffic for the school gate….and suddenly ….at nine am…on the dot….in school yards all around the country a collective sigh of relief as once again ………..parents catch their breath and say….WE ACTUALLY DID IT !
